Celebrate London - September 2018 - Carnaby Street Soho
Bective Leslie Marsh are dedicating the month September 2018 to Carnaby Street in Soho as part of our #CELEBRATELONDON campaign.
A street of modest 17th century houses became the epicentre of swinging London in the 1960's, when fashion boutiques and music bars moved in.
Shops like 'I was Lord Kitchener's Valet' sold military uniforms to the likes of Eric Clapton and the Rolling Stones, while Mary Quant sold
'practical and liberatinf' miniskirts and hotpants to young women whi wanted to be able to run for a bus.
